56% of UK businesses don't have a zero tolerance approach to discrimination
Research has found that over half of UK employers (56%) do not have a zero tolerance approach to discrimination in the workplace. This for example, includes dismissing a manager which discriminates.
Additionally, 39% of businesses have no diversity and inclusion strategy in place and 20% of employers are taking no action to improve equality, diversity or inclusion for their employees.
This data is also supported by employees. When surveyed, 47% of employees agreed that their employers could be doing more to improve diversity, and 1 in 4 believed that their company were affected by a form of bias.
