Pubs and restaurants warn they need more government support
The boss of two restaurant chains has called on Chancellor Rishi Sunak to provide financial help to struggling hospitality and leisure businesses in the next 24 hours.
Pubs and restaurants have been dealing with a large number of cancellations over Christmas, which would usually be an extremely busy time of the year. The chain's boss has warned that unless support comes soon, the industry is set to have a "horrible Christmas."
100,000 businesses are asking for more help and support from the government, and have argued that existing support has been 'insufficient.'
