UK National Living Wage to rise in April 2022
A pay rise for millions of low-paid workers to £9.50 an hour - a 6.6% increase from £8.91 for workers over 23 years old, and from £8.36 to £9.18 for 21-22 year olds.
This means a pay rise for millions of low-paid workers and represents a rise of £1,000 per year for a full-time worker. The increase compensate those losing out on the £1,000 a year from inflation rising and a cut in universal credit.
